Salary Range$32,600 - $51,021 per school year
- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
Duties may include, but not limited to:
- Performing treatments and procedures such as (but not limited to) soaks, recording vital signs and weight, medication administration, accompanying students on trips.
- Screening students for illnesses, including COVID-19 assessments, height, weight, scoliosis, vision, hearing.
- Administer first aid as needed using School Health Services medical policies.
- Communicate appropriately with School Nurse, school personnel and parents.
- Carry out medical providers' orders as required.
- Have working knowledge of school health care regulations.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Administer medications at other locations as needed.
- Work with diabetic students to assist in becoming self-directed.
- Civil Service eligibility as a Licensed Practical Nurse:
Possession of a valid New York State Registered Professional Nursing (RN) license or valid New York State Licensed Professional Nursing (LPN) license. - Must have one year experience as Licensed Practical Nurse.
- AED/CPR Certification required; must renew with Monroe One BOCES.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform CPR in a kneeling/floor-based position for a minimum of two continuous minutes.
- Physically able to perform essential job functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), which may or may not include responding to emergency situations quickly (may require running up/downstairs, or running to sports field areas).
