Registered Nurse – Orthopedic / Trauma (Medical Surgical)

New York, NY

Contract | Full-Time or Extended Hours (36 or 48 hrs/week) | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call per Unit Need

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses
• Utilize strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to deliver safe and effective nursing care
• Function as an effective team player, collaborating with interdisciplinary staff to meet patient and unit needs
• Participate in floating, charge duties, and on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs
• Engage in opportunities for education and professional growth within a research and innovation-recognized department

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only

• Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
• Demonstrated ability to serve in a charge nurse capacity
