The Surgical Intensive Care Registered Nurse 2 at Strong Memorial Hospital provides competent direct patient care for critically ill surgical patients. This role is ideal for nurses with acute care experience who thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

- Location: Rochester, NY

- Schedule: Full-time, Rotating shifts
- Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contribute to unit activities and support the enhancement of the care delivery system.
- Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
- Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
- Care for critically ill surgical patients requiring specialized nursing and medical care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and assessment skills.
- Engage in innovative quality patient care, education, and research.
- Education: RN required
- Experience: 1+ year in acute care
