Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
St. Mary's Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular OR RN to join our surgical services team. As a CVOR nurse, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high‑quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You’ll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure seamless operations and exceptional outcomes.
ScheduleOperating Room department. 10‑hour shifts Monday–Friday, with variable days including call, some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities- Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
- Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well‑being of patients and their families in mind.
- Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission.
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
- BSN from an accredited program.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval), required (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service).
- At least one (1) year of cardiovascular nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting, highly preferred.

Hourly rate: $36.71 – $56.17 (actual rate dependent upon experience).
