Job Description

Title:

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule:

- Shift Type:
Rotating
- Shift Times: 1100a-2300p / 1900p-0700a

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
- Active New York RN license (single-state, not compact)
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (2 years preferred)
- EPIC experience required
- IV therapy skills, including blood products, central line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
- Ventilator and CPAP/BiPAP management
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, including 12-lead ECG interpretation
- Experience in emergency procedures, trauma care, and managing overdoses and psychiatric patients
- Ability to perform triage and adhere to isolation precautions

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the emergency department.
- Assess and triage patients based on their medical needs and urgency.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, and respond to changes in status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Implement and participate in emergency procedures and protocols as necessary.

- Orientation: 24 hours
- Candidates within a specified radius (75 miles) are not eligible.
