University of Rochester - 14642 City of Rochester - Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a licensed nurse, provides patient care by performing basic procedures and selected specialized procedures that contribute to the well being, comfort and safety of patients.;
Performs venipuncture for blood samples, EKGs, placing electrodes and obtaining telemetry readings.;
Collects patient data as defined by the Skill Inventory List and documents these data on the appropriate flow sheets.;
Attends to patients' environmental needs by straightening belongings, offering comfort measures at the direction of the nurse.;
Participates in Quality Assurance activities as directed by nurse.
