RN Director of Nursing (DON) Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Director of Nursing (DON) to join our healthcare team. As a leader in senior care, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment. The DON will be responsible for overseeing the nursing services department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting excellence in patient care.

• Lead and manage the nursing services department, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence in patient care
• Collaborate with the medical director and other departments to plan, develop, and evaluate patient care programs
• Conduct regular assessments of patient care and make recommendations for improvements
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff to ensure optimal performance and job satisfaction
• Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and empiricism among nursing staff
• Develop and manage the nursing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction

• Current RN license in the state of New York
• Prior experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a SNF setting
• Proven experience in staff development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
