Wound/Thrombophilia/Vascular - RN.
The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care to meet patient and family needs. Operating within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, the RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
The role includes leadership activities such as preceptor support, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. Excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are required, and participation on committees or projects is possible. A subset of employees may be required to drive a personal vehicle as part of the role.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship; successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of the Visa Screen or equivalent certification.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA).
- One year of RN experience required.
- All entry‑level associate degree RNs with an RN start date of April 1, 2020, must document completion of a baccalaureate degree within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.
- All entry‑level associate degree RNs with an RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documentation of baccalaureate degree completion as stipulated at hire.
- Prefer vascular experience in the last five years.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Computer skills required; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to unpredictable situations.
- Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.
- Internal applicants must attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
Must obtain prior to start date:
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) valid for 90 days post start date; acceptable certifications include American Heart Association (AHA)/Heartcode® BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers).
• Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
The pay for this role ranges from $35.84 to $58.84 per hour. ScheduleFull time; variable schedule, Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour shifts. Weekend schedule: none. International assignment: no.
