Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse in Acute Care (LPN) provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays an integral role in the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families, collaborates with other health care team members, and completes additional tasks to support patient care. The scope of practice for LPNs and RNs is defined by the NYS Education Department.

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction, ensuring physical and emotional comfort for patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care team.
• Complete tasks that support patient care.

$26.77 - $34.49 per hour (within range depends on market data, education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity).

• Education:
  
  LPN licensure in NYS and fulfillment of educational requirements for licensure.
• Location:
  
  Rochester, NY.
• Hiring Status:
  Full‑time, 36‑40 hours per week.

• Level I:
  New graduate LPN or at least 6 months experience as an LPN in an acute care hospital or long‑term care.
• Level II:
  At least 1 year experience as an LPN in an acute care hospital or 2 years in long‑term care.

Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross BLS) upon hire. American Heart Association BLS is the only certification accepted for renewal.
