Job Description

Supervised by a Registered Nurse or Physician, the LPN guides our patients through a seamless process to ensure that their care is of the highest quality and delivered in the most efficient manner. The LPN directs patients through the appointment, provisions of nursing services during care, and phone triage. They collaborate in care planning discussions, determine urgency of care needs, triage emergent situations to the appropriate provider, and schedule acute care appointments to maximize patient care opportunities and unit efficiency.

The LPN maintains the flow of the Provider schedule during patient care sessions, minimizing patient wait time whenever possible. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

Pay Range

Range: $25.79–$33.20 per hour.

Full‑time. Hours per week: 40.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Fulfills the requirements to be a licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
  • Experience:

    Minimum six months of LPN experience preferred; outpatient primary care and/or pediatric experience preferred.
  • License/Certification

    Required:

    New York State licensed practical nurse; current American Heart Association CPR and AED certification (BLS for healthcare providers).
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of age‑specific medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
    • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions; understanding of documentation standards.
    • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
    • Understanding of basic laboratory procedures, including preparation and screening.
    • Knowledge of infection prevention, infectious disease management and control, and safety standards.
