Position: Travel Registered Nurse Radiology Job
Location: City of Rochester

Overview

Registered Nurse – Radiology position available in Rochester, New York. This travel assignment starts on 07/06/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,659 to $2,794. Shifts are 10 hours, on a 4x10 rotating schedule that includes holidays and weekends, with on‑call/callback as needed. The role is within a fast‑paced interventional radiology service in a level 1 Trauma center, serving inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan.

Nurses collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to pre‑procedural prep, post‑procedural recovery, and overnight observation for IR patients. The assignment involves care for patients undergoing CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X‑ray and ultrasound procedures, with telemetry integration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pre‑procedural assessment and patient preparation for interventional radiology procedures
  • Monitor and support patients in post‑procedural recovery and overnight observation, including telemetry
  • Assist IR team during procedures and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate critical thinking and communication
  • Deliver GI post‑procedural care as needed and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for safe patient transitions
  • Document assessments, vitals, medications, and care plans; ensure accurate charting and handoffs
  • Maintain infection control, equipment readiness, and patient safety throughout the shift; adapt to rotating schedule demands
Requirements
  • Active New York RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced interventional radiology/diagnostic imaging environment
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
