About This Role

The Registered Nurse, Level 2 in Maternal‑Fetal Medicine provides specialized nursing care for women with high‑risk pregnancies, focusing on diabetes in pregnancy. This role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

• Pay: $37.12 - $50.11/hour
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Schedule: Part‑time, Day shift

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Care for women with high‑risk pregnancies in the ambulatory setting.
• Focus on diabetes in pregnancy, providing specialized nursing care and education.
• Collaborate with providers, diabetes educators, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Complete medication prior authorizations and facilitate access to therapies and supplies.
• Perform telephone triage to ensure communication between patients and providers.
• Coordinate care for women experiencing high‑risk pregnancies.
• Monitor fetal health and provide fetal monitoring.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Assume roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member as needed.

• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years obstetrical nursing experience required
