Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry

Schedule:

Nights - 12HR: 7P-7A 36 and 48 hours available per week 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend

Assignment Details:
Contract Duration: 16 weeks

Requirements:
Active NY RN license AHA BLS certification 1 year recent experience in acute med surg/tele 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates (preferred experience: 2 years) Charting: EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced medical/surgical telemetry unit. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and vital signs, responding promptly to changes in patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and their families on healthcare needs, medications, and discharge planning.

Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Compliance / Notes:
Must be flexible according to the needs of the facility's schedule. Required to float to other units if needed. Must be willing to work charge. Guaranteed hours are not specified, block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
