Lead the Future of Nursing EducationWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursing Program Director to lead our nursing education programs and help prepare the next generation of nurses. This leadership position combines academic administration with teaching responsibilities and is ideal for a nurse educator who is committed to faculty development, student success, regulatory compliance, and program excellence.
The Nursing Program Director will oversee the daily operations of one or more nursing programs, provide leadership to nursing faculty, maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance, support curriculum development, and ensure students receive a high-quality educational experience that prepares them for licensure and professional practice.

- Provide leadership and oversight for one or more nursing programs.
- Manage the daily operations of the nursing department while ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards.
- Implement and evaluate nursing curriculum to ensure alignment with current healthcare practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee student admissions, progression, graduation, and eligibility for NCLEX examination.
- Analyze program outcomes, retention, graduation rates, and NCLEX performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student success and program effectiveness.
- Manage department resources, including classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical equipment.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, mentor, and evaluate nursing faculty.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching to support instructional excellence.
- Lead faculty meetings and facilitate professional development initiatives.
- Complete annual faculty evaluations and support performance improvement planning.
- Review faculty credentials and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on student learning and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with clinical agencies and healthcare organizations.
- Ensure appropriate faculty-to-student clinical ratios in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain all documentation required by state boards of nursing and accrediting agencies.
- Prepare and submit reports required for accreditation, regulatory compliance, and institutional reporting.
- Monitor program compliance with nursing education standards and applicable regulations.
- Teach up to three nursing courses per semester based on program needs.
- Deliver engaging classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction.
- Evaluate student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Support curriculum review, course development, and academic quality initiatives.
- Participate in academic leadership meetings and institutional committees.
- Assist with departmental budgeting and resource planning.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to strengthen academic programs.
- Represent the nursing program at community events, advisory meetings, and professional organizations.
- Support strategic planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Active, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Previous experience in nursing education
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of nursing curriculum, accreditation standards, and nursing program regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience as a Nursing Program Director
, Assistant Program Director
, Nurse Educator
, Clinical Coordinator
, or Director of Nursing - Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
- Experience improving NCLEX pass rates, student retention, and program outcomes
Experience mentoring and developing nursing faculty - Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
