STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Surgery
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday;
Days
Knowledge of the medical management of adult patients.
Passion for promoting health and wellness in patients with breast cancer and those at increased risk for developing breast cancer.
Interest in providing patient-centered care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach.
Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
Patient Care. Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative evaluations, provide patient education, and manage acute post-operative care.
Risk Assessment. Evaluate patients for hereditary breast cancer risk, review genetic histories, and determine the need for additional genetic evaluation or testing.
Patient Education. Counsel patients on breast cancer risk reduction strategies and coordinate referrals to appropriate specialists and support services as needed.
Procedures. Perform in-office procedures. Opportunities to participate in surgical care may be available based on departmental needs.
