Location:

Rochester, NY  Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (11:00 - 21:30);
Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30 Duration: 13 Weeks with High possibility of extension

First Time Travelers are not Accepted

3 Year Experience Required

Floating is required

Weekends/Holiday

Call Requirements Prefer Recent RN OR experience

BLS is required CNOR is preferred EPIC preferred

RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy as well as placing IVs as this is a required skill for any RN cial Procedures/Unit Details:
Diverse-Need experience in ortho-total joint and trauma, Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, Thoracic.

Responsibilities:

• Providing perioperative nursing care for General, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Orthopedic/Spine, GYN/Urology, ENT, Plastic, and Trauma surgeries

• Assisting surgeons during laparoscopic, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), minimally invasive, and complex surgical procedures

• Preparing and maintaining sterile operating room environment, instruments, and surgical equipment

• Monitoring patients intraoperatively and responding to emergencies and code situations

• Performing RN competencies including IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, specimen handling, and blood administration

• Ensuring compliance with infection control, Universal Protocol, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Fire Safety, and Latex Allergy precautions

• Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care

• Documenting surgical procedures, patient care, medications, and intraoperative events accurately

• Supporting orthopedic total joint, spine, vascular, thoracic, neuro, GYN/urology, and trauma cases

• Maintaining patient safety, positioning, and sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
