Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), DeMay (Full-Time, Evening)

Department: Long Term Care

Location: DeMay Living Center - 100 Sunset Drive, Newark, NY 14513

Hours per Week: 37.5

Schedule: 2p-10, every other weekend

Pay and Benefits: Competitive base pay with shift differentials, incentive opportunities, overtime at time-and-a-half, and strong benefits including a pension. Tuition assistance is available, and progression from CNA to LPN to RN and into leadership roles is actively supported.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide high‑quality, individualized patient care in collaboration with the nursing team. Your initiative and support will be critical to the success of the entire team.

• Patient Care & Service: Provide or assist residents with activities per individualized care plans; transport to and from activities; provide leisure activities; perform evaluations and reporting; offer emotional support to residents and families.
• Safety: Assist in maintaining a clean and safe resident environment.
• Communication & Documentation: Support families, direct them to appropriate staff; respond to resident requests promptly; provide reports to team members and leaders.

• Minimum age requirement: 18
• Currently certified in New York State as a Certified Nursing Assistant

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant – New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Medium work:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

$20.00 – $22.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full‑time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
