Schedule:
Nights, every other weekend, every other holiday
Sign‑On Bonus:
Up to $15,000
Pay Range: $38.66 – $51.91 per hour
This role is a key member of the acute intermediate‑care telemetry team focused on caring for patients recovering from complex cardiac events and procedures. The RN will provide patient‑centered care, coordinate treatment plans, and collaborate with the Cath Lab team, with opportunities for career progression in cardiac nursing.
Responsibilities- Care for patients with heart failure, post‑MI, and those requiring continuous oxygen therapy.
- Manage post‑Cath Lab patients, including those with TAVR and PCI.
- Care for post‑device patients (pacemakers, AICDs) and those with temporary pacemakers or arterial sheaths.
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips for arrhythmias and CHF.
- Collaborate closely with the Cath Lab team to support patient care and advance expertise.
- Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, performing treatment procedures, and providing physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and families.
- Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication of patient status and progress.
- Demonstrate proficient use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) for accurate documentation and communication.
- Adhere to department and system protocols, regulations, and educational requirements.
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- RN License in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- At least 6 months RN experience.
Medium work:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
