Job Summary

Position:
Advanced Practice Provider – Colorectal Surgery (NP/PA) – Full time, Day shift, Located at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY.

• Perform High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) for patients at risk for HPV‑associated anogenital diseases.
• Conduct biopsies and Hyfrecation treatments, interpret pathology/cytology reports, obtain detailed histories, provide HPV teaching and risk reduction counseling.
• Assist surgeons in outpatient colorectal clinic, perform in‑office procedures such as I&D and standard anoscopy.
• Manage patients with anorectal disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, colorectal cancer, and assess fecal incontinence and defecatory dysfunction at the Colorectal Physiology Center.
• Implement treatment plans, pre‑operative and post‑operative surgical care, and support Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol.
• Participate in education of learners (students, new employees) through clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.

• Certification and licensure in New York State as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Master's degree in Nursing (for NP) or completion of an ARC‑PA or AMA‑approved Physician Assistant program (for PA); active licenses in good standing.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal effectiveness, customer relation skills, computer competence, and an active desire to learn.
