Compensation Range: $39.25 - $52.99 per hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Salaries/hourly rates will be set within the range based on factors including but not limited to market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities- Functions as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
- Continuously builds competency in the provision of direct patient care and contributes to unit activities and care delivery improvements.
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and participates in a dynamic, collaborative care team across med/surg units.
- Works a full-time schedule with flexibility for D/E/N shifts, including weekends and holidays as required (8- and 12-hour shifts).
- Works in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, demonstrating strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Receives extensive orientation; new graduates are welcomed into the med/surg Residency Program.
- New Graduates (Level
1) are eligible for the med/surg Residency Program designed to assist the transition to a competent professional nurse.
- Less than one year of prior experience in acute care.
- Commitment to a two-year term upon program completion.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to participate in a residency program and to work across units to gain varied patient population experience.
