40 per week, Monday–Friday with on‑call responsibilities. Shift: UR‑Day. Department:
Surgical Support Services (USAS).
Range: $97,073.00 – $. Salary determined within range based on market data, experience, qualifications, etc.
Responsibilities- Complete defined scope and standards of practice.
- Engage in environmental scanning to identify practice gaps and collaborate with others to improve practice and healthcare outcomes.
- Act as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions.
- Support learning, change, professional role competence, and growth to lead to optimal patient care, population health, and public protection.
- Design, implement and evaluate educational programs that support clinical competence, professional development, and regulatory compliance of OR nursing staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence in trauma‑informed, high‑acuity surgical care.
- Design and deliver orientation programs for newly hired perioperative nurses and surgical technologists, including planning and coordination of competency assessments.
- Design continuing education programs for a variety of surgical specialties based on evidence‑based practice.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN);
Master’s in Nursing or Education required. - Minimum of 3–5 years of recent experience in an OR setting, preferably in a Level1 Trauma Center.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required.
