About This Role

The Registered Nurse 2 in the Neuromedicine Pain Treatment Clinic provides direct patient care and supports the enhancement of the care delivery system. This role is ideal for nurses with strong communication skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

  Per Diem, Day shift

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contribute to unit activities and support the care delivery system.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
• Deliver patient education and conduct telephone triage.
• Perform procedures including injections, infusions, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulator trials.
• Utilize excellent IV skills in patient care.
• Collaborate with the department of Neurosurgery.

Education: Active NYS RN License required.

Experience: 3 years of experience in Med/Surg, ambulatory care, or the OR preferred.

Certifications:

ACLS completion required within one year of hire.
