- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments using appropriate physical, psychological, and developmental data; apply sound clinical judgment to identify and address priority needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care; ensure documentation and communication reflect patient-specific goals and outcomes.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor by rounding on units, assisting staff nurses with complex care, supporting admissions and discharges, and promoting safe, timely patient throughput.
- Enhance the patient and family experience through effective, compassionate communication and education tailored to patient needs and abilities.
- Promote excellence in nursing practice by adhering to organizational policies, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and identifying opportunities for evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrate adaptability and leadership by supporting staffing needs, guiding colleagues, managing stressors, and collaborating on unit-level solutions.
- Maintain professional development through continuing education, mandatory in-services, and ongoing regulatory compliance.

- Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing
- Registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse
- 3–5 years of acute care experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that supports quality care and staff empowerment
- Self-directed with strong organizational and priority-setting abilities
- BS:
Nursing (Required) - Licenses / Certifications:
- BLS
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) - RN
- Registered Nurse
- New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS

- Medium work:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
