Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR) | Radiology specialty | Rochester, New York | Start 08/03/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,724-$2,797 per week | 40 hours per week expected | 4x10-hour shifts | Acute care/interventional radiology service line
Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,724 – $2,797 per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Start date:
August 3, 2026 - Work setting: acute care/interventional radiology procedures environment
- Travel assignment requiring active RN licensure in New York and strong IR telemetry skills
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures (e.g., biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements) and verify consent and pre-procedure requirements.
- Monitor patients intra-procedure, including telemetry when indicated, and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate action.
- Provide post-procedure recovery care in PACU or extended stay areas, including discharge planning and patient education.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient assessments, vitals, medications, and post-procedure instructions in the health record.
- Coordinate with unit and procedural teams to manage equipment, supplies, and patient flow during fast-paced interventional suites.
- NY State RN license (active)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Telemetry experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology (IR) experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based IR environment
- Completion of a registered nursing program and current licensure in New York
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program (RN)
- Assignment-specific support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, including nurse recruiters and travel coordination
- Ongoing support throughout the 13-week assignment
- Access to standard travel nursing resources and guidance on unit expectations
- Potential for extension opportunities based on unit needs and performance
