Job DescriptionASPN I-ED Nurse Residency Program offers newly licensed Registered Nurses the knowledge and skills needed to transition from a novice nurse to a competent advanced beginner in the clinical setting. The program is offered to newly licensed RNs with a passion for Emergency Nursing. Orientation begins in August 2026. The nurse will provide professional nursing services for patients and families, collaborate with other healthcare providers to achieve expected patient outcomes, and use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
LevelI Registered Nurse (RN)
The Level I RN is a new Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing who is completing the Nursing Practice Orientation Program at 6 months of clinical experience or less post licensure. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Level I nurse is accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. The Level I nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services in an organized manner prioritizing safety and team collaboration and communication.
The Level I nurse contributes to unit activities that enhance patient care outcomes. After the six month evaluation, if all requirements are met, the nurse is advanced to Level II RN.
$38.00 - $41.00

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job RequirementsNew licensed RN with 0-6 months experience. BS in Nursing preferred. Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
