About This Role

The Mother/Baby Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to low to moderate risk women and healthy newborns, focusing on education and support for the mother-baby dyad. This role is ideal for new graduate nurses looking to build their competency in a collaborative and supportive environment.

• Pay: $39.25 - $52.99/hour
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Rotating shifts

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Contribute to unit activities and enhance the care delivery system.
• Support peers in delivering patient care services.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, and social workers.
• Focus on education and support for the mother-baby dyad.
• Ensure patient and family-centered care in all situations.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and prioritize problem-solving.
• Utilize electronic computer systems effectively.
• Be available for on-call responsibilities within 40 minutes for self-scheduled shifts.

• New graduate nurse with less than one year of experience

• OB experience preferred, but passion for obstetrics will be considered

• Current RN License in New York
