Responsibilities
  • Provide direct RN care in the EP Lab for adult and geriatric patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, mapping, conduction studies, and cardioversion; assist with procedural scrubbing or monitoring and use of Micropace as required.
  • Set up and assist with EP procedures, ensuring sterile technique, equipment readiness, and coordination with the electrophysiology team.
  • Manage vascular access, sheath removal, and vascular closure; monitor Activated Clotting Time (ACT) and administer blood products as indicated.
  • Administer IV vasopressors and emergency medications as needed; monitor procedural sedation and patient status throughout the case.
  • Document in EPIC with accuracy, including procedure details, medications administered, vitals, and post-procedure orders; communicate findings and patient status to the team.
  • Apply core RN competencies (phlebotomy, IV insertion/maintenance) and participate in orientation and ongoing competency activities.
Requirements
  • Active RN license to practice in New York (license in hand required to submit).
  • ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • EP Lab experience: typically 2 years listed; alternate listing 1 year; first-timers accepted.
  • EPIC charting experience required; ability to document consistently in the EPIC system.
  • Knowledge of EP procedures (cardiac ablation, mapping, conduction studies, cardioversion); proficient in scrubbing and/or assisting with ablations; must be able to operate Micropace system.
  • Able to work with adult and geriatric patients in an EP Lab; willingness to float as needed per client requirements.
  • Local candidate rule: candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
  • Orientation: 40 hours required prior to or during assignment.
  • RTO:
    No more than 1 week off; submissions with more than 10 days RTO will not be considered.
