Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Rochester, NY

Contract (13 Weeks) | Rotating Days and Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
• Perform cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and activate Rapid Response or Code teams as needed
• Manage IV therapy and peripheral line care, including phlebotomy
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Implement and maintain appropriate isolation precautions per protocol
• Float within skillset to other units as required

• Active New York State Single State RN License (NY is not a Compact state; license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
• Acute care experience within the past 6 months
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting

• Work within a facility certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, offering exposure to high-acuity, specialized patient populations
