Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit

Schedule:

Rotating shift schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call and callback responsibilities may be required.

Job Description:

Join our specialized neurological unit, a dynamic environment where you can enhance your nursing skills while caring for patients with a variety of neurological conditions such as strokes, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome. As part of a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, you will engage with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to acute and complex patients using advanced technologies such as continuous video EEG.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological diseases.
• Utilize telemetry experience to monitor patient conditions closely.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in the evaluation and treatment of seizure disorders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Two (2) years of nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in New York.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• NIHSS certification is required.
