LPN - Medical Surgical

We are seeking an experienced LPN for a Medical Surgical unit. The role involves providing patient care in a complex care setting. You will be responsible for taking your own patient assignment. You will have the support of an RN. Experience in acute care within the last two years is required. You must have a valid New York LPN license and BLS certification.

You must be able to manage blood products and central/peripheral lines. Experience with IVs and oxygen administration is essential. Telemetry experience is needed as well. You will be required to float within your skillset as necessary. Also, you must work every other weekend and potentially every other holiday. The unit provides care for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5 to 1:6. A wide range of equipment and advanced procedures will be utilized. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.
