Med-Surg RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
4x12 Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with every other weekend required.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Med-Surg RN with a New York license to provide high-quality patient care in our Intermediate Care unit (IMCU). The IMCU is a critical care step-down unit catering to adult patients requiring specialized care. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7, ensuring the delivery of compassionate care through a multidisciplinary approach.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based care for adult patients in the IMCU.
- Monitor patients using continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry.
- Manage airway support, IV infusions, and perform phlebotomy.
- Handle emergency situations and respond to Rapid Response/Code teams.
- Maintain proper isolation precautions and patient safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 1 year of Med-Surg RN experience.
- Valid New York RN license in hand is mandatory.
- Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS (please include NIHSS in the application).
- Experience with EPIC charting system is a must.
