Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) and day 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00) alternating shifts with weekend requirements every other weekend.

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a current New York State license and have experience in a medical surgical or telemetry setting. This position requires the ability to float between units as necessary and manage patient care effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and patient status, including the management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medication and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Implement isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, specifically in medical-surgical and telemetry care.
• Current New York State RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and valid NIHSS certifications are required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Prior experience in charge roles preferred.
