The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to provide direct patient care for critically ill children and their families. This role is ideal for motivated individuals with a passion for pediatric nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

• Pay: $37.00 - $40.70/hour
• Location: Rochester, NY

• Department/Unit: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Schedule: Full-time, Rotating shifts

• Function as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience.
• Build competency in the provision of direct patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Provide care to a wide variety of patient conditions from infancy to adolescence.
• Manage complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Care for pre and post-operative patients and those with multiple trauma including neurologic compromise.
• Address the acute management of chronic illnesses in children.
• Balance high technological needs of critically ill patients with holistic needs of children and families.
