Medical Surgical ​/ Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2850 per week

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

- Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program:

Additional Details:

Lab Completion:
All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/

Experience:

Phlebotomy and IV placement are required skills. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, heparin protocols, management of cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy management, and wound care/wound vac are required.

Preferred Skills/

Experience:

Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details:
Day/evening ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in). PCTs on all units do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. Adult and geriatric patient population with osteoarthritis and fractures.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend. On-call not required. No more than 1 week RTO per contract.

Floating Requirements:
Float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units, including MS.

This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted eduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Maximum consecutive days off: 10
