Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Nurse

Prepare and deliver specialized nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Provide support before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and prepare them for electrophysiology procedures.
• Scrub in and assist with cardiac ablation, device insertions, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Operate and monitor advanced vascular and electrophysiology equipment, including Micropace systems.
• Administer medications such as antihypertensives, emergency drugs, and blood products, following strict protocols.
• Manage post-procedure care, including sheath removal, vascular access monitoring, and topical hemostasis management.
• Document all procedures accurately within the EPIC system and ensure compliance with clinical policies.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in electrophysiology or cardiac cath lab settings.
• Valid NY nursing license in hand.
• Certified in ACLS and BLS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC charting, IV placement, and phlebotomy.
• Ability to scrub and use micropace or comparable monitoring systems for ablation procedures.
• Capable of working a day shift (4×10 hours) and floating as needed with flexibility.
