Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Rochester, NY

Local Pay: $ 40/hr

Shifts:

Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays
  • Day Shift – 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Evening Shift – 3:55 p.m. to 11:55 p.m.
  • Night Shift – 11:45 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. 2
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited educational institution
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the State in NY. The license MUST be in good standing
  • 1 year of experience
Responsibilities
  • LPN's observe, measure, and record clinical data, which is used by other health practitioners to make health care decisions.
  • LPN's can pass medications, complete wound care, administer vaccinations and execute medical regimens as prescribed by NY Licensed Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assist and Podiatrists.
  • LPN's identify health problems or changes in a person's health status and determine whether immediate intervention is needed.
  • LPN's must report these problems or changes in a timely manner to an RN or directing practitioner.
  • LPN's are not legally allowed to take independent action to address the health problems or changes.
  • LPN's cannot perform clinical assessments.
  • An LPN is not legally allowed to practice nursing independently or provide nursing care that the LPN is not personally competent to perform and must be under supervision of RN or another licensed practitioner.
