Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse to provide compassionate and high-quality patient care in a high-volume unit. The nurse will coordinate patient treatments, monitor vital signs, and execute clinical procedures while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting findings accurately in EPIC.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and update care plans.
• Provide patient education and support for post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate issues as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current NY Registered Nurse license in hand.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg or Tele units.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting.
• Be able to handle a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; include valid NIHSS certification in submittal.
• Willing to float between units and work night shifts (3×12 hours).
