Job Summary:
Seeking a licensed RN specialized in Medical Surgical/Telemetry to provide high-quality patient care in a tertiary care hospital setting. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 during night shifts and ensure compliance with all certification and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Administer patient care in accordance with facility protocols and standards.
- Monitor and document patient conditions utilizing EPIC electronic charting system.
- float between departments as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
- Ensure all required certifications, including BLS and NIHSS, are current and documented.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized patient care plans.
- Follow hospital policies regarding staff return intervals and background verification.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active NY license in hand prior to start; no exceptions.
- Possess at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting software.
- Maintain current BLS and NIHSS certifications, providing valid proof with submissions.
- Be able to handle an assigned patient load of 1:5 to 1:7 patients safely and effectively.
- Be willing to float as required within the hospital’s units.
