Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Rochester, NY
Psychiatric RN travel job in Rochester, New York with a supportive behavioral health team. Provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care while enjoying a 17-week travel assignment in a city known for its strong medical community and vibrant neighborhoods.

- Schedule: Weekend-blocked, day/night rotational schedule with holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities per unit needs
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

Job Requirements
- Active New York RN license required
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Experience supporting psychiatric or behavioral health patients strongly preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
- Conduct intake assessments through patient and family interviews to gather history and clinical information
- Develop and provide nursing care for patients with behavioral health and mental health needs
- Assess medical and emotional status and collaborate on appropriate treatment plans
- Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and behavioral health professionals to support coordinated care
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to psychotropic and other prescribed therapies
- Support a safe, secure, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment for patients and staff
- Monitor pain, vital signs, and overall patient condition, escalating concerns as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient confidentiality, and compliance with written orders
- Assist with patient education, administrative tasks, and courteous service to patients and visitors
