Key responsibilities of the EP Lab RN include:

• Perform baseline measurements and cardiac mapping
• Assist with cardiac ablation and conduction studies
• Manage pacemaker insertion and AICD programming
• Administer anticoagulants, thrombolytics, and antihypertensives
• Conduct dysrhythmia management and sheath removal
• Use vascular closure systems and monitor activated clotting time

Requirements of the EP Lab RN include:

• Valid NY license or pending license acceptable
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an EP Lab
• Competency in EPIC charting system
• Skill in phlebotomy and IV placement mandatory
