LVN​/LPN Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides skilled LPN care within a Medical Surgical unit, supporting patient health and recovery. Ensures quality nursing practices and collaborates with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, pain assessments, and response to treatments.
• Support patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures including wound care and Foley catheter insertion.
• Communicate effectively with RNs and MDs regarding patient status and concerns.
• Maintain safety standards, including isolation precautions and physical restraint protocols.
• Document all clinical activities in EPIC with attention to detail and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State LPN license; no pending license accepted.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute care experience, with telemetry and medication administration skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in vital signs, oxygen therapy, EKG monitoring, and basic wound care.
• Be BLS certified and able to handle patient assignments independently under RN supervision.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-focused environment.
