RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Night Shift Location
New York, NY
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule4x12-Hour Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend requirements of every other weekend.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with various critical conditions, including respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and multi-organ failure.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, implementing care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV fluids and cardiac drips.
- Provide respiratory support and manage ventilated patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort through vigilant observation and intervention.
- Current NY RN license in hand is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in critical care or MICU.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
