Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
- Perform cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and activate Rapid Response / Code teams as needed
- Manage IV therapy and peripheral line care, including phlebotomy
- Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Implement and maintain isolation precautions per facility protocol
- Float within skillset to other units as required
- Active New York Single State RN License required — pending licenses are not accepted (NY is not a Compact state)
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required — must be included at time of submittal
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Experience in a Magnet-recognized or teaching hospital environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac care protocols
- Experience floating across units within a large acute care setting
- Opportunity to work at a large, Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility offering exposure to a wide range of specialized clinical programs
