American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN with dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience for a day shift assignment requiring NY licensure and Epic proficiency.

• Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
• Patients requiring diagnostic or interventional cardiac catheterization, as well as IR patients needing drains, tubes, kyphoplasty, or biopsies
• Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call requirement averaging 8-10 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends monthly
• Float requirement applies
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required (IR-only experience not accepted)
• Must have experience in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology
• Epic charting system experience required
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and PCI
• Experience with IR procedures such as gastrostomy tube placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, nephrostomy, and renal angiography
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring

• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and managing dysrhythmias
• Follows infection prevention and isolation precaution protocols
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• RTO should be kept close to 1 week
• Previous employees may be considered if it has been at least 6 months since their last assignment within the health system
