Role: Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Unit, providing patient-centered clinical care in an 18-bed specialized unit with telemetry, wound care, vascular, and cardiac patients.
Responsibilities: Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, communicates with the interdisciplinary team, and documents care. Ensures compliance with safety and organizational policies, revises care plans as needed, and supports clinical research activities. Maintains required certifications and completes mandatory in-services and continuing education hours.
Qualifications: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing, valid RN license in New York State, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 6 months of experience.
Skills & Requirements: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. Physical ability to perform medium work, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
