About This Role
The Registered Nurse 2 in the Ambulatory Neuromedicine Pain Treatment Clinic provides direct patient care in a fast-paced, offsite procedural/infusion area. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in communication, flexibility, and organization while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Highlights- Pay: $38.76 - $52.33/hour
- Location: Rochester, NY
- Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
- Department/Unit: Nursing Pain Treatment Center
- Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
- Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system.
- Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
- Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
- Coordinate pre, intra, and post procedure care for patients.
- Perform procedures including sympathetic and neurolytic blocks, radio frequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator trials.
- Educate patients and conduct some telephone triage.
- Demonstrate strong assessment and IV skills.
- Achieve Moderate Sedation competency and ACLS certification by the end of orientation.
Education:
- Not specified
- Minimum 1-year acute care nursing experience required
Certifications:
- Current RN License in New York
- ACLS certification required by the end of orientation
- Moderate Sedation competency required by the end of orientation
