Labor and Delivery – Nurse Manager

About This Role

The Nurse Manager for Labor and Delivery at Strong Memorial Hospital will provide clinical and operational leadership across the labor deck, obstetric operating rooms, and the OB Emergency Department. This role is ideal for experienced nurses with strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality patient care.

• Pay: $108,160 - $146,016/year
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Rotating

• Maintain 24-hour accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on the assigned inpatient unit.
• Oversee and direct unit activities including standards development and human resource management.
• Assess resource needs and utilization, staff development, and communication within nursing practice.
• Oversee all performance improvement activities at the unit level.
• Participate in committees at all levels within the institution.
• Provide staffing and workforce management.
• Manage budget oversight and quality initiatives.
• Lead practice changes and demonstrate clinical expertise.
• Adapt to changing census, patient acuity, and models of care.

Education:

• RN licensure required
• Master's degree preferred within 5 years

Experience:

• 3-5 years of RN experience required
• Obstetric experience preferred
• Management or leadership experience preferred
