Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for our client in Rochester, NY 14621. This is a 13-week contract assignment.

Position Title:

Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location:

Rochester, NY 14621

Duration: 13-week

Work Schedule:

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Pay rate: $60/hr - $65/hr.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring progressive/step-down level care.
• Monitor patients through continuous telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
• Assess, interpret, and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac drips without titration as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, oxygen levels, and overall patient condition.
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management when required.
• Perform central and peripheral line care, including assessment and maintenance.
• Administer and monitor blood products according to facility protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in Rapid Response and Code Team activities.
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
• Follow isolation precautions and appropriate PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Active New York RN License is required — pending licenses are not accepted.
• New York is not a Compact State, so an active NY Single-State RN License is mandatory.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Please ensure a valid NIHSS certification is included with the candidate's submission.
