Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated LPN/LVN specializing in Med Surg for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This position involves working in a 14-bed overflow unit accommodating ED boarder patients on a med/surg tele unit. The flexible work environment adjusts according to patient demand and will involve floating as necessary.

Key responsibilities of the LPN/LVN – Med Surg include:

• Assist in patient care within med/surg unit, accommodating fluctuating patient numbers
• Provide patient care including feeding tube management and catheter insertion
• Utilize skills in emergency department protocols, blood glucose monitoring, and wound care
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs
• Communicate patient status to RNs and MDs
• Follow isolation precautions and manage telemetry monitoring
• Engage in phlebotomy and IV placement as required

Requirements of the LPN/LVN – Med Surg include:

• BLS certification
• 1 year of relevant experience
• Competency in EPIC charting system
• NY State LPN/LVN license in hand
• Experience in emergency department and MS/Tele settings
