LPN – Medical Surgical

Schedule

Shift hours: 7 pm - 7 am. Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend. Holiday requirement:
Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks. Call off policy:
The client may cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Requirements

• Active New York Single State LPN license (pending licenses are not accepted).
• Required certifications: BLS.
• Acute care experience within the last 2 years.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Skills in vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage own patient assignment with support from an RN.
• Perform vital signs, pain assessments, and intake/output monitoring.
• Administer medications via various routes including oral, IM, SQ, and IV.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKGs.
• Provide wound care and assistance with hygiene and toileting needs.
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/MD as needed.
